McCaskie’s Festive Food and Wine Night 2019!

McCaskie’s recently hosted a festive food and wine night. The night included a selection of wine from Hills and Harbour Gin, Corney and Barrow Wine Food and Wine McCaskie's Butchers
and also Enotria World Wines. A great night was had by all from start to finish!

Over 50 individuals attended the food and wine night and a marvellous £400 from the event will be getting donated to Ardgowan Hospice.

Our guests were able to enjoy a selection of wine along with tasters of products from our own McCaskie’s range including, mini pies, chicken tempura, haggis and black pudding bon bons, mini burger sliders, festive chips in bacon, stuffing balls, copas turkey, 32 day aged roast sirloin of Aberdeen Angus beef from Stravenhouse farm and our glazed ham loin – which really won the praise! A truly amazing product and great value.

A blind tasting Champagne challenge proved interesting – a lot of our guests picked the champagne and a few identified the most expensive but this wasn’t necessarily their favourite! Our Ruggeri Prosecco was judged very well as always, as was the Blanc De Blanc. It really goes to show that not everyone likes the same thing and that’s what makes wine so much fun!

Our Christmas order form is out now. Our new website is live and I’ve matched a selection of wines to go with different meats.
