McCaskie’s Provide 100% Aberdeen Angus Beef

McCaskie Butchers in Wemyss Bay are proud to announce that they will be providing 100% Certified Aberdeen Angus Beef as part of their staple products from February.

McCaskie’s have for a long time used only UK native breeds of cattle such as Aberdeen Angus, Shorthorn, Luing, Galloway, Blue Grey and more. Above all others, Aberdeen Angus is recognised worldwide as being the premium cattle breed and McCaskie’s are proud to work with fantastic suppliers who can regularly supply them with quality products in great quantities.

Nigel, owner of McCaskie Butchers, commented: “While we have always used top quality beef from a variety of suppliers, we feel that Aberdeen Angus offers the consistency we are looking for due to its ability to create excellent marbling and fat distribution. Not to mention excellent eating qualities with both taste and tenderness being top of the list.”

McCaskie’s mature all of their steak cuts on the bone for a minimum of 30 days and their cuts for stew, mince and burgers are aged for a minimum of 14 days. Combine this with the aged Aberdeen Angus will create an excellent product range and a superior eating experience.

To celebrate the move and McCaskie’s commitment to offering the very finest beef products, they have put together the “biggest” wee steak box with 100% Aberdeen Angus Steaks which are traditionally aged for a minimum of 30 days.
