The perfect lentil soup starts with the base stock which is always better made using a good smoked hough or ribs. At McCaskie's we cure all our houghs and ribs in a special cure that creates the perfect level of flavour and this is further enhanced with careful smoking over oak and beech in the McCaskie smoker. Dont forget to use the meat from your houghs in the soup or for a delcious sandwich.
