McCaskie’s is a third-generation family butcher and café, proudly based in Wemyss Bay on Scotland’s west coast. We’ve been crafting award-winning products from the same spot since 1935, with everything made onsite in our Food Standards Scotland-approved production facility.
Run by Nigel Ovens, his wife Helen (a farmer’s daughter), and his mother Elizabeth (daughter of founder Mearns T. McCaskie), our focus remains the same: quality meat, expertly prepared.

We only use Scotch beef, lamb and pork – all grass-fed, naturally reared and sourced from trusted farms with high welfare standards. Our beef comes from native and heritage breeds, prized for marbling and flavour. - Everything Made In-House
