At McCaskie’s, we take great pride in our heritage as a traditional family business, dedicated to producing quality meat and meat products. Over the past twenty years, McCaskie’s has evolved under the leadership of Nigel Ovens (third generation), his mother Elizabeth (the daughter of founder Mearns T. McCaskie), and his wife Helen.

We use exclusively 100% Scotch Aberdeen Angus Beef sourced from some of the very finest producers. All our beef is predominantly reared on a grass based diet .
Aberdeen Angus cattle produce some of the finest beef with its natural excellent marbling and rich creamy fat.
We Dry Age all our steak cuts for a minimum of 30 days to enhance the natural flavours and ensure the most tender beef possible.
Scalpsie Bay Lamb @ McCaskie’s
Ian Dickson farms at Scalpsie Bay, Isle of Bute, where he produces the very finest organically reared Scotch Lamb exclusively for McCaskie’s.
Grazing on lush green pastures and heather clad hills on the shores of the stunning Kyles of Bute, where the combination of salt air and rich grass create lamb that’s truly special.
