What a difference an Award makes
What a difference a few Awards can make.
At Mearns T McCaskie’s we are no stranger to winning awards for excellence in products. Our recent wins of ‘Best Haggis in Scotland 2015 – 16’ and also our ‘Best Beefburger and Best Pork Sausage – West of Scotland 2015’ along with our ‘Best Black Pudding’ shows what a small butcher, from a small village, like us, can achieve when we strive to deliver a top quality product.
It’s easy to make ‘average quality’ and get more profit from reducing the amount of meat content. But to deliver outstanding quality we have to be focussed on two main items.
- To source the best quality meat and not skimp on the ingredients
- We have to trust that there is an audience out there who believe in paying a better price for a superior quality product.
At McCaskie’s we always aim to deliver that top quality. Average is never good enough for us. Our awards by our industry peers mean the world to us.
These awards also bring extra footfall to both our shop in Wemyss Bay and onto our website. The awards help bring extra revenue that we can use to secure better products, deliver an even better service and it also gives our staff a more secure future.
