Festive order collection and delivery Q&A

Well that’s us well and truly into the big build up.

Turkeys are in, beef joints are ready, rolling gammons this morning, stuffings being made. My team as usual are giving everything, working crazy 15 hour shifts to prepare everything.

A few questions are asked:

Q: Where do we collect our order?
A: Come in through the front door and go right into the cafe where the collection queue is and leave through the side door into our car park.

Q: Can we buy things from the shop as normal?
A: Yes, of course, the shop will be open and hopefully easier as we have separate queuing areas.

Q: Will our order me made up and ready?
A: No! Everything will be ready but due to limited refrigeration space and the need to separate raw and cooked items and keep everything refrigerated. This is the only option. We operate to the highest standards and are a Food Standard Scotland facility (UK1220) and have to ensure safe storage of all items! We cut great meat, NOT corners!

Q: How long will we have to wait?
A: We will do everything we can to get your order put together as quickly as possible. To help us get your order as quickly as possible please have your order confirmation copy or order number.

Q: If we are getting our order delivered when should we expect it?
A: National orders are being dispatched today and should arrive tomorrow and Wednesday at the latest! Local orders will start going out today and tomorrow but don’t panic if it hasn’t arrived it will have just have been pushed on to the next day! We aim to have deliveries completed by 23rd.

Q: Is everything fresh?
A: The only item that may be have been frozen is pigs in blankets (National – pigs in blankets fresh). If you are getting your order today or tomorrow pop these in your freezer. And Beef Wellingtons (excluding national) may be frozen although we are trying to make all fresh.

Q: Can we still order steak pies for New Year?
A: Yes online. But not in the shop. We will start taking phone orders in the shop on Sunday 27th.

Q: Do you still have meat available if we just come in.
A: we are very well stocked on most cuts. The only item we are short of is our beef fillets due to Wellington demand. All ordered fillets are aside! We will have steak pies but plan to run out early on 24th! We have loads of cheese, lovely wines, and a great range of whisky and gins for last minute prezzies.

Please don’t try and call the shop or Facebook message. We are ignoring you as our team are flat out working on orders and we can’t access our messages or would have time to.

Please remember Christmas is always stressful for everyone. This year please remember we all have to be that bit more patient as we all have to adhere to social distancing.
