After carefully maturing our wonderful Scotch pork loin for up to 2 weeks, we remove the loin from the bone and cut it into nice 180g/6oz steaks. Ideal for a quick and easy meal.
Suitable for grilling/frying and great on the BBQ.
Tip: Don't over cook the pork as this dries out the meat.
Our 100% Scottish pork loin steaks have a small layer of lovely white fat to ensure juicy steaks. Unlike so many other retailers we carefully mature our pork loins for up to 2 weeks to ensure they cook quickly, are tender and moist.
Suitable for freezing.
Freeze on day of receiving product.
Frozen shelf life – 3 months.
Fresh Shelf Life – same or next day.
Vacuum Pack Shelf – as per label.
When defrosting, allow 24 hours under refrigerated conditions. We recommend defrosting in original packaging.
Please wash hands after handling raw meat.
Our pork steaks are equally delicious fried or done in the oven.
To fry: bring sirloins to room temperature and season to taste. Preheat your frying pan/griddle and add a little cooking oil. Cook sirloins over a medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes each side. Leave to rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
