McCaskie Steak Pies achieve Gold Awards!

We are delighted to announce that Mearns T McCaskie Butchers have won 3 Gold awards for our Steak Pies in this year's Scottish Federation of Meat Traders 2011 Steak Pie Evaluation!

These awards, sponsored by the Scotch Butchers Club and Sword the Bakers, were presented to owner Nigel Ovens at a ceremony on Tuesday 29th August. "We are over the moon about receiving these highly prestigious awards" said Nigel after the ceremony, "we entered three pies, one in each of three categories, and have been awarded Gold for each!"

The awards were as follows:

Traditional Steak Pie - Gold Award

Steak and Ale Pie - Gold Award

Beef Bourguignon Pie - Gold Award

All three pies are available to order in the shop, and by phoning 01475 520192. All three will shortly be available to order online also. All are available to order in the following sizes:

Individual - serves 1

Small - serves 2

Medium - serves 3-4

Large - serves up to 6

Our Pork now comes from a farm in Nairn and is outdoor reared to the highest welfare standards.

All our lamb meat is 100% Scottish from selected reknown producers. 

All poultry is British with whole chickens and chicken breasts being 100% Scottish from farms that rear ethically and feed their chickens with natural feed for a full tradiotional flavour.
